M. Damian Marinello graduated from Saint Paul's High-school in Covington, Louisiana, in 2002. He attended Millsaps College and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and minor degrees in Economics and Geology.  M. Damian Marinello studied law at Loyola Law School in New Orleans and received his Juris Doctorate in Civil Law in 2010.

M. Damian Marinello is admitted to practice in the State of Louisiana and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the 22nd Judicial District Bar Association, and the United States Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. 

M. Damian Marinello served as associate counsel at Tusa & Richards, LLC, and thereafter at The Richards Law Firm, LLC from 2012 through 2018, practicing primarily in the areas of Family Law, Personal Injury, Successions, and Property claims.

From 2018 through 2020, M. Damian Marinello served as the Staff Attorney and Hearing Officer to Judge Mary C. Devereux of the 22nd Judicial District Court for St. Tammany and Washington Parishes.  In this capacity he presided over Emergency Ex Parte Custody Hearings, taking testimony and rendering decisions to protect children in danger.  When not occupied with Emergency Custody cases and Protective Orders, M. Damian Marinello assisted the Court in preparing complicated legal rulings.

Beginning in January of 2021, M. Damian Marinello has become a member of the Arata Law Office, LLC.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, M. Damian Marinello worked as a computer and networking technician at Parish Data Systems, and brings his years of experience in IT to his legal practice, offering clients an attorney who is well versed in digital data preservation and recovery.
